ABOUT CULP DESIGN
Stephen
Culp is the owner and principal of Culp Design, a full-service
graphic design studio located in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
Stephen has over 13 years of experience as a professional
designer, and offers print & web design, and project
management services.
Stephen is a graduate of Bridgewater
State College (BFA, '92), and began his career just after
graduation in the screen
printing field at two small companies. He was employed
at a clothing company in Norwell, MA for four years as a
production
artist and Apple computer technician. He subsequently moved
on to a Senior Designer position at a student loan company
in Braintree, MA for three years, rounding out his design
abilities, as well as solidifying his project management
and print-buying skills.
During his professional employment,
Stephen started to freelance on a part-time basis. Rarely
turning down a project, he was
exposed to a variety of exciting design challenges that led
to a successful jump to a full-time design studio. In March
of 2001, Stephen made that leap with the support and encouragement
of his wife. With a one-year-old daughter, he chose to open
his studio in his home so that he could also be a stay-at-home
Dad.
In January 2004, Stephen moved his studio
out of his home and into its current location with his wife’s
company, The Happy
Frog Copy Center. In March of 2008, Culp
Design
celebrated its 7th anniversary.
When Stephen is not
battling a deadline, he enjoys spending time with his wife,
Rose-Marie, and his three beautiful daughters,
Willow, Piper and Ayla.
Stephen has been a
certified Star Wars nut since 1977, and enjoys collecting
all sorts of memorabilia from all six movies. If you visit
his studio, you
will see this first hand!
The future of Culp Design is
bright and Stephen looks forward to its continued growth
and success. Many thanks
to all
those who have supported the growth and development
of the studio!
