Stephen Culp is a freelance art director and owner of Culp Design, a full-service design studio located in East Bridgewater, MA. Stephen has over 20 years of experience as a professional designer, and currently offers web design, internet marketing, graphic design and project management services to small and medium businesses throughout Massachusetts and New England.

Stephen is a graduate of Bridgewater State University (BFA, '92), and began his career just after graduation in the screen printing field at two small companies. He was employed at a clothing company in Norwell, MA for four years as a production artist and Apple computer technician. He subsequently moved on to a Senior Designer position at a student loan company in Braintree, MA for three years, rounding out his design abilities, as well as solidifying his project management and print-buying skills.

During his professional employment, Stephen started to freelance on a part-time basis. Rarely turning down a project, he was exposed to a variety of exciting design challenges that led to a successful jump to a full-time design studio. In March of 2001, Stephen made that leap with the support and encouragement of his wife. With a one-year-old daughter, he chose to open his studio in his home so that he could also be a stay-at-home Dad. In 2004, Stephen moved his studio out of his home and into its current location with his wife’s company, The Happy Frog Copy Center.

Stephen volunteers his time on the Board of the Bridgewater Business Association, Inc. as their Director of Marketing. He also serves on the board of the East Bridgewater Business Association, as well as serving on the South Shore Vocational High School Design and Visual Arts Program Advisory Board, Member since 2012, Chair 2015-present.

When not battling a deadline, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Rose-Marie, and his three beautiful daughters, Willow, Piper and Ayla. Stephen can usually be seen at the local soccer field, karate studio, or after-school one of the three.

Stephen has been a certified Star Wars nut since 1977, and enjoys collecting all sorts of memorabilia from all six movies. Donations are always accepted. If you visit the studio, you will see this first hand!
